What is Education Organizer LLC?

Kathleen Casparino, an active and effective advocate for parents of children with disabilities and former special education teacher and administrator, and Andrew Feinstein, one of Connecticut’s leading lawyers representing families of children with disabilities in seeking appropriate educational services, formed Education Organizer, LLC in the fall of 2009. Kathleen and Andrew’s mission was to make parents better advocates for their own children with disabilities.

Their first project was to create and publish the Education Planner Organizer and Guide, which is a book that parents can use to organizer their materials and use those materials in the most effective way to the educational placement and program their child needs.

Kathleen and Andrew next scheduled a series of seminars in how to use and benefit from the Education Planner Organizer and Guide. Participants have raved about the value of these seminars.

More recently, Kathleen and Andrew have partners with Dr. Adrienne Smaller, Dr. Jonathan Swift, and Elizabeth Bochain to plan a Weekend Retreat for parents of children with disabilities. The organizers of this event believe that the enormous stresses and emotions that come from parenting a child with disabilities frequently interfere with the parent’s ability to effectively advocate for his or her child. The Weekend Retreat, scheduled for May 14 to 16, aims at understanding the challenges, dealing with the stresses, and offering techniques for parents to use in creating the balance in their lives necessary for effective advocacy.

Kathleen and Andrew are eager to hear from you.
